First up is the Spencer Public Library "End of Summer" Carnival, featuring musical guest Chad Elliott! We're going to have games, prizes, a UFO bouncy house, face painting, and snacks! So join us us out at East Leach Park on Saturday, August 17th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.
Then, on August 28th and 29th, the library will be having a special two day exhibit from the LITA History of Medicine and Health in America Traveling Museum. The exhibits will cover 1640-1965 and include items and history including: Native American medicine, the Revolutionary War, the Flu Outbreak of 1918 and other pandemics, WWI, WWII, as well as the beginning of MASH units and other emergency response services. Curators Jon and Eddy Weiss are looking forward to sharing their collection and knowledge with you!
